This Is My GlasgowNeedless to say, the sudden appearance of circles of mushrooms has lead to many myths and legends, including an association with fairy folk, especially in Scotland.
At this time of year, fairy rings appear. These are rings of mushrooms or fungii which start out as a single spore. As the underground mycelium grows outwards, it depletes the soil mutrients in the middle and these parts die off, creating a circular-shaped organism within the ground. This shape only becomes visible when they send up their fruiting bodies, which we call mushrooms, in Autumn.

Fairy Ring - Play cards in your garden, move around the ring, and score points based on what you land on. Cards are drafted and both you and the player's card you land on get the benefit. There was a rules mistake about scoring that skewed the results (I got last), but the game had some light strategy with drafting to maximize you points. I look forward to playing it correctly!
