I have never heard the “Maine Lobster theory” for covid, but I suspect they’re right that EVALI (the “vape illness” from 2019) was actually covid.

Back when it was happening there were a few reports of other household members getting sick even though they didn’t vape. Idk but if lobsters from Maine really did spread it in the wet market, where did the lobsters catch it?

@MelissaBearTrix yes!! Here in NH vape stores are the new “mattress liquidators” who have been having going out of business sales since they all opened.

I’m not even exaggerating, driving thru one of the major business districts in the capital city near me, there’s a few fast food places, some gas stations, and at least four vape stores.

We already had a few when a tanning salon and the bread outlet closed and became vape stores.

Do you remember that “vape illness” #EVALI in the summer of 2019? Seems all these people and places know that it wasn’t actually vape illness making people sick. The US just did didn’t want to call it a virus until another country could get blamed for starting it.

(please don’t come at me and try to tell me that the US determined it was because Juul & small business cannabis shops all decided to add vitamin E to the vape cartridges even though they would have known that would be a disaster. That was propaganda.)

Año 2024 podría terminar con cerca de 3.500 casos de trastornos relacionados al vapeo

Los casos han crecido como la espuma. De acuerdo con el Área de Estadística en Salud de la Gerencia Médica de la CCSS, en 2021 se reportaron 13, en 2022 la cifra se disparó a 78 y, en 2023 a 1.456.
La entrada Año 2024 podría terminar con cerca de 3.500 casos de trastornos relacionados al vapeo aparece primero en Semanario Universidad.

Aunque este es el primer caso de #Evali no es el único problema de salud asociado al vapeo.

En 2022 la CCSS atendió 102 emergencias. La Evali ya es algo mucho más grave.

Seems all public health does is declare things over, that aren't over
