When the batch in the local grocery shop is refilled it's announced on SoMe and within the hour most of them have been taken. The group chat with the shoppers offering them the bags and talk about the #project
People are #curious happy and excited - everybody loves #free stuff 🥹 Doesn't hurt that the bags are #handsome either.

A group meet several times a month to sew bags from #recycled linen #donated from shops and private people alike. The bags get a stamp and are hung in local shops, free to take instead of buying a plastic bag.

The initiative is 9 years old this year and many thousands of these amazing bags have been distributed - and has spread all over the country.
