AnsonThe Mummy (1932) is basically Dracula (1931) in Egypt, with the added twist that the damsel in distress is the reincarnation of the Mummy's long-dead love. Dan Curtis would use this trope with Barnabas Collins on Dark Shadows and then come full circle and use it again in his Bram Stoker's Dracula (1974).
