Spiritual Physics | Bridging the Gap Between Real and Imaginary
A man studies hypothetical complex spiritual physics.
Some would love to be able to describe the spiritual realm in terms of theoretical physics. They discuss the interplay between the soul, the mind and the physical world. Their ideas have included an extra dimension in addition to the 3 spatial dimensions in the present universe.
I am a firm believer in the spiritual realm, which, from my understanding, is beyond known physics. I would characterise it as a category problem. The physical 3D realm is not in the same category as the spiritual realm. It does not have the same physical laws as we are governed by in this realm.

What is spiritual physics then?
Mathematics is the language of physics. No physical theory can be developed without it.
In what follows I use the most elementary math and write about numbers, real and imaginary. I suggest that the field of mathematical study can be used as an analog to understand the spiritual dimension. I am not suggesting a direct theoretical mathematical or physical description of that realm, but a perspicacious analogy. This might give us a clue to where spiritual physics needs to go.
The natural numbers are the set of positive integers used for counting and ordering. While definitions vary, they are most commonly defined as either 1, 2, 3, … (positive integers) or 0, 1, 2, 3, … (non-negative integers), with the inclusion of zero depending on the mathematical context. This is what most people are familiar with.
The usual number systems used throughout mathematics –- the integers, rational numbers, real numbers, and complex numbers –- contain the natural numbers, and can be formally defined in terms of natural numbers.
We say the number line is dense and therefore the real numbers contain all numbers from negative infinity to positive infinity. That includes all the values between the natural numbers. That includes rational and irrational numbers. Rational numbers can be expressed as a fraction of two integers while irrational numbers cannot.

Figure 1 illustrates on the horizontal axis the real numbers, labelled Real Axis, with an orthogonal (vertical) axis for the imaginary numbers labelled Imaginary Axis.
If we say that the real numbers represent real space then the imaginary numbers expand that space into the complex plane. That includes any point between the horizontal and vertical axes.
It may be hard to imagine what an imaginary number is. Mathematically it is a real number multiplied by the square root of -1, which is symbolised as i by mathematicians and physicists, or as j by engineers.
Thus a complex number is constructed with a real part and an imaginary part. For example, z = x + i y represents the complex numbers, where x and y are elements of the set of all real numbers.
Because there are numbers that may be expressed in this form eiθ where θ is a real number and e is the special irrational number, a mathematical constant, approximately equal to 2.71828…, that is the base of the natural logarithm and exponential function.
The number e is also called transcendental. And so is the number π, defined by the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter. A transcendental number is a real or complex number that is not algebraic. That means it is not the root of a non-zero polynomial with integer (or rational) coefficients.
Now if we equate θ = π we get the most famous identity:
eiπ +1 = 0, …… (1)
which arguably contains all the most important numbers in mathematics.
However for arbitrary values of θ we can write this mathematical identity
eiθ = cosθ – i sinθ. …….. (2)
It has a real part (cosθ) and an imaginary part (-i sinθ) and thus it is complex. This number has magnitude = 1, but it could take any real numbered value. And the symbol θ used here is its phase. What that means is that eiθ rotates around the Origin in the complex plane. See Fig. 1 above.
Assume magnitude = 1, starting with θ = 0°, eiθ evaluates to 1, then θ rotates counterclockwise to 90° or θ = π/2, and eiθ = i. Then onto 180° or θ = π and eiθ = -1. Then rotate around to 270° or θ = 3π/2, and eiθ = –i. The final step completes the circle 360° or θ = 2π and we are back to the starting point where eiθ = 1.
Only when phase θ = 0, π, 2π, nπ … where n is a positive integer, are all values of eiθ real. The value of eiθ is complex for all other values of phase θ. And it is purely imaginary when θ = π/2, 3π/2, nπ/2 … where n is a positive integer. The size of the reals is small compared to the size of complex numbers.
The size of the purely imaginary numbers is the same as the real numbers but the size of the complex numbers is dimensionally much larger.
I hope I haven’t lost you here.
This is where I use the complex plane as an analog of the real world and spiritual realms.
The set of pure real numbers corresponds to the set of elements in the real physical world. The set of pure imaginary numbers corresponds to the set of elements in the spiritual world. Then the set of all complex numbers (z = x + i y in Fig. 1) represents the set of all elements which have both real and imaginary parts.
What entity has both real and imaginary parts? Could they represent entities that can exist in both the real world and in the spiritual realm?
This might be understood by elimination.
Real physical world entities cannot exist in the spiritual realm. For humans to enter that realm they must leave their fleshly physical bodies, which happens at death.
Suppose that there are spiritual beings which cannot enter the physical realm; they cannot manifest in this world. Some fallen angels (demons) are currently kept in chains, while others roam the earth. Jude 1:6 and 2 Peter 2:4 state that God has reserved disobedient angels, who abandoned their proper dwelling, in everlasting chains under darkness (or Tartarus) for judgment. Those specific spirits are confined and awaiting the final day of judgment.
Certainly the dead who once lived here cannot enter this world. But there are the rare exceptions. King Saul had a sorceress at Endor conjure the spirit of the prophet Samuel from the dead (1 Samuel 28). Then on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1–8, Mark 9:2–13, Luke 9:28–36) Jesus brought Moses and Elijah back from the spiritual realm.
What about angels, demons and other non-human entities? There are plenty of biblical and historical records of appearances of angelic beings as well as demonic spirits.
Demons are usually described in the Bible as non-corporeal spiritual beings without a fixed physical form, often appearing as immaterial spirits that possess humans or manifest as deceptive entities like an “angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14) or metaphorically as frogs (Revelation 16:13) and roaring lions (1 Peter 5:8).
However I would suggest that aliens, who are alleged to be associated with UFOs or UAPs, manifesting to humans in this world, are some of those demons.
Even the UFO craft can manifest in this world, both a good type and an evil type. The prophet Ezekiel saw God’s craft in the spiritual realm. But there are many more of the evil UFO appearances than the good UFOs.
The analog there is that they are part of the much larger complex space. And I have no idea what those craft are made from any more than what the craft in Ezekiel’s’ vision was made from.
I would therefore suggest that this analogy points to vast armies of angels, dimensionally much larger than the number of humans alive now and those who have died through history.
The prophet Elisha’s servant saw a vast army of angels after the prophet Elisha prayed for his eyes to be opened, revealing horses and chariots of fire surrounding them (2 Kings 6:17). And Jacob saw a host of angels and identified them as God’s army (Genesis 32:1-2).
The prophet Daniel witnessed thousands of thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand angels ministering before God’s throne (Daniel 7:10).
The prophet John saw ten thousand times ten thousand angels in his Revelation (Revelation 5:11).
At Jesus’ birth the shepherds in the fields encountered a multitude of the heavenly host (Luke 2:13). They saw them in the physical realm in that case.
Angelic (good and evil) beings are the complex numbers in this analogy. They have substance that is both spiritual and physical.
One feature of these UFOs is there nature to fade in and out of visibility. That is like a phase rotation. As the entity’s phase shift towards the real axis in the complex plane they become visible but as it shifts towards the purely imaginary axis they “phase out” and disappear from view.

In recent weeks the Pentagon has released many videos of UFO/UAPs. You can find them on YouTube. In the following short clip the claim is made of a direct military hit on a UFO. So that means it must have materialised into this physical realm.

I believe what we are seeing is described by my complex plane analog. UFO/aliens are often seen and described as crossing over from one realm where they are not visible in this world and visa-versa.
They are real alright, even though we don’t yet know the physics by which they operate. Call it spiritual physics or whatever you like.
