Food for thought: "Just let the #GC handle it, and when in doubt, use the most modern one you can" is not a be-all-end-all solution.

If you, let's say, had a hypothetical cloud app running the latest #Java VM, and that app were to process a bazillion events in a processing queue, the default multi-threaded, generational GCs it comes with might not be the smartest choice.

That is unless you could somehow get the generational behavior to inverse the sign on the generation count. Maybe.
