Can a #civilengineer use linux?

This is the old MacBook Ewaste I got 1 year ago. It's been my linux mint machine for a while. Now I am exploring a new year of #fedora #KDE.

Technically what I do mostly are still windows based so the main machine (plus my old pal surface) are still windows.

Still, I like the diversity of OS in my work ecosystem. As a grad student in CEE doing phd there are times I benefit from having variety of choices and have cross platform software really help.
