Bicycled the Root River Trail with my main bike *without* studded tires yesterday. Stopped by slushy ice patches again, but it was nice to be able to just coast again on a warm day for February on Minnesota.

Bicycled Root River Trail on a warm day for here. 3 bicyclists, 3 dog walkers, 1 walker, and a person in camouflage clothing with a rifle (hunting season for what now? Isn"t deer hunting by rifles over?).
Yesterday a track team was running. One of them in short sleeves and shorts. Brr. Too cold for me. I'm still wearing 3 layers on the warmer day today.

When temperatures fall below freezing, the wind chill gets intense. But today was about 34F (1C), so tolerable. Road and trail conditions were ok, except where about had been plowed off county roads, over the barrier, & large chunks left in the walk/bike lanes.
