Hey #gardeners in UK/northern hemisphere!

What (and when) do I need to do to my #fig? I tried looking it up online but didn't understand!

The shrivelled fruits - where should I prune them off? The tiny green fruits, should these be left? Pruned in spring?

Is there a better way to remap audio inputs and outputs then qpwgraph? It is just PAINFUL as everything places randomly, I need to drag left and right inputs one by one, and to diconnect a node I need to click every input to it and disconnect them one by one

(I want to be able to send input to both mine and @WizardOfDocs 's headphones at the same time, and toggle that on and off easily.)

A question about #Apple updates. I have been working hard to keep AI off my devices (not easy!). I have gone with DuckDuckGo No AI and I have deleted a lot of apps that won’t allow choice. Does anyone know if the #Tahoe OS update will add in #AI I don’t want on my MacBook? Also Update 26.2 for my iPhone say it has ‘Liquid Glass’ features - but it sounds a bit suspicious to me - anyone got any information before I go ahead and let it download? #AdviceWelcome #iPhone #iMac

I started making sour dough for so many reasons.

My biggest reasons are

1.) I want to know what is in my bread.
2.) I need a hobby because I’m trying to break my overspending habits.
3.) I needed to challenge myself with something new. This was perfect because I’ve always loved baking.

I plan to continue to bake and experiment with cooking. I’m open to any advice or recommendations on what I can do better with my bread, so please drop it below!👇

How do you survive when it's a bad day and you've things to do that absolutely cannot wait?

Push yourself and hope you don't drop before it's complete?

Right now I'm trying to remind myself that when it is done, I can rest for at least a week, more if I rearrange appointments.

Some of you must be electric #kettle people. Is there anything I should know about joining the #ElectricKettle ranks? Is the 1.7L Ambiano (#Aldi brand) kettle US$18.99 sufficient or do I need to be choosier? It feels pretty cheap but I just need it for a few mugs of #tea a day. It includes the basic safety features and seems to do its job just fine - I just don't know if there are any "you'll hate yourself if you don't get one that does/includes X" features for which I should be looking.

So, the back of the yard is flooded.

My house is totally dry and fine.

It's about 5 to 6 inches deep in some spots. I'm going to have to go out and get a better look tomorrow.

I think I'll have to do something (?fuck knows what) about the standing water because of the risk of mosquitoes breeding in it.

(also, all this water fell in about 2 hours)

(also also, all the doors and windows are closed at the moment. I have the fan and the air conditioner on.. AND I CAN HEAR THE FRONGS OVER THE TOP OF IT, THAT'S HOW LOUD THEY ARE 😆🐸)

@sinituulia @valhalla Hi! You seem to know stuff about handsewing, maybe you can give me advice, how seam for fabric in picture should be strengthened properly? It is a stright back seam of a store-brought linen chemise that I have already unpicked to redo. I wore it mostly under corset, and this pulled out part happened somwhere around my booty. I can afford to cut some half cm away, and I know how to do seamfinishing like in Bernadette's pirate shirt, but will it be enough?

What would you advise as date format —for a server rendered fallback that would be replaced by relative date ("2 days ago" for example) when JavaScript is available?

I would like to have:
1. As little as layout reflow possible
2. An actually decent initial format (in case it's not replaced)
