Time to do something about this extra 25lbs I'm hauling around. Tried intermittent fasting but wasn't having much luck (plus my partner missed having dinner with me). So I'm going to do a few months of the keto diet instead, starting yesterday.
Last time I did keto I lost 20lbs in just under 3 months, so I figure if I can hold out for 4 months I'll hit my target weight. Then the goal is to ease off the diet while stepping up my cardio. It's easier to move 195lbs around versus my current 220.
Good news: don't feel hungry at all. Big breakfast of ham, mayo, avocado, almonds, and exactly 1 slice of whole grain sugarfree bread (12g net carbs; 16g net carbs for the whole meal, goal of <40g today).
Bad news: after about 36 hours I already have the brain fog and mild keto flu symptoms.
