  • Maybe someone should ask #Sprintek to build a generic one themselves with like #USB / #PS2 interface to use it with, as a regular keyboard is too chonky on a #laptop?

I mean they [sell](SK8707-01) the trackpoint modules and rubber caps, and they do #OEM #Keyboards so worst-case one could do it like the #VaioP11Z or like #GPDwin have it mounted to the side.

Seriously, I thought the #VaioP11Z was "peak japanese productivity obsession" in terms of like "we want to make a PC small enough to fit inside a jacket pouch" - and it does that.

But the #Fujitsu #F07C blows it out of the water...

Obviously like the #P11Z this thing too needs a docking station for any #SeriousBusiness use...

@EpicPawt I can recommend to take a look at #TinyCore and #BunsenLabs if you like some #smol #desktop #distro...

TinyCore is a #BusyBox / #Linux and @bunsenlabs is a nifty #Debian derivate which runs even on a #GMA500 / #Poulsbo / #IntelAtom Z-series system like the #VaioP11Z just fine despite using #llvmpipe for rendering...

@JohannessNilsson personally, I just wanted to beat #Floppinux and actually make something that is more practical than just existing and spitting out text on screen.

OFC long-term I do want to expand this further and make something that is still smaller than #TinyCore yet also practical to run on my #Atom #Z520-powered #VaioP11Z or any of those shitty #StickPC's and #Trash-#Tablets that have a #Z8300 and just 1GB of RAM and that already felt painfully slow on #Windows8 when they got released.
