  • Maybe someone should ask #Sprintek to build a generic one themselves with like #USB / #PS2 interface to use it with, as a regular keyboard is too chonky on a #laptop?

I mean they [sell](SK8707-01) the trackpoint modules and rubber caps, and they do #OEM #Keyboards so worst-case one could do it like the #VaioP11Z or like #GPDwin have it mounted to the side.

I'm just nor nerdy enough (or not in pain enough) to go with some DIY #Ergo / #Split board yet...

@fedora Sadly, #Lenovo wronged me as a professional when they refused to support their "#UbuntuCertified" #ThinkPad #P15v's #WWAN module ( #Fibocom #850GL, based on #Intel's #XMM7360 baseband).

  • And that was a €3,5k+ professional device!

Add to that the discontinuation of any #wired - #USB "ThinkPad Compact Keyboard with #UltraNav" and the only reason I've not retired my #X230Tablet for a @frameworkcomputer / #Framework13 or god forbid some #DIY abomination is my belief in #UseLonger!

@mjdxp yeah - my #BigChungus misses a #TrackPoint, and I'll certainly need one too as I literally can't work without an #UltraNav-Style setup anymore!

  • Granted "The Message" is that one's not forced to cram shit on a tiny desk but can afford a 100% Keyboard and mouse next to it!

Personally, I want some device like that again...

Maybe make it the #ThinkPod with a #UltraNav-Style #Trackpoint instead and out of #Thinkpadnium or #Nokiante plastic, coz #ThinkPad and #Nokia are the most durable materials once known!
