Just a great band that I’ve been with since 1991’s The Supersonic Storybook.
Between THAT album, the incredible Saturation, and Exit The Dragon, they were a pretty significant part of my teenage years.

After Exit The Dragon, they went dormant for 16 years, and since then, have made two STELLAR records in Rock&Roll Submarine and Oui.

Urge will always sound like Urge, and that’s a very good thing.

With Oui, I thought it was an odd decision to open the record wit a VERY Urge-ified version of George Michael’s “Freedom”.
But you know what? It TOTALLY works and is awesome, and sets the tone for everything else that follows.

“Follow My Shadow” is classic Urge Overkill, man. That’s one of my favorite UO songs ever, which is crazy to say this far down the road and this many albums in.

One of the greatest rock outfits ever.

The only #grunge-associated band who knew how to have any fun, #UrgeOverkill once gave us a great cover of the #HotChocolate's UK hit "Emma". Nash Kato's #FrankZappa-like vocal still gives me goosebumps. RIP drummer Blackie Onassis.
