#introduction time! (v2026)

I am a @[email protected] musicologist -- graduated on Jachet Berchem (not related afaik...) and a #PhD on #networks and polyphonic settings of the #TeDeumLaudamus in the 16th century.

Academic and intellectual life in Palestine has a long history of attacks, and in Gaza as many as twelve universities have been destroyed. This deliberate destruction of education systems and infrastructure is known as scholasticide.

The exhibition ‘Picturing Scholasticide’ uses photography and testimonies to show the impact of these attacks.

Dirty fingers and entertained brains at the University Library

On Thursday 9 October, students and staff visited the festival Night at the Library in the University Library City Centre. They listened to lectures on eco-sexuality and activism, took part in workshops, enjoyed delicious Future Food snacks and watched the documentary The Recycle Surfari.

The University Library has decided not to renew its licence for access to the Web of Science citation database (including Journal Citation Reports). Discontinuing Web of Science is a logical step that fits in with the UU vision on Open Science.
