Maria Teresa Agnesi Pinotti (1720-1795) was a Milanese early classical composer. This is the overture to her opera of the above name, from 1766, which survives apparently in fragments. It straddles the line between the baroque and the classical.

Found this rare gem on YouTube: a set of variations on Heyn van Ghizeghem's De Tous Bien Playne, set for tenor and bass vihuela da arco (a cousin of the viola da gamba) and vihuela da mano (ancestor of the guitar):

Agricola (c. 1446-1506) was a Flemish composer and music theorist of considerable renown in his day, contemporary to van Ghizeghem.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned this yet, but I’ve got a dulcian of my own! Already for a while actually, but because of the orchestra gig on modern bassoon, couldn’t really start playing it until this week. Very nice instrument, stable and in tune, made by Wouter Verschuren. We’ve got a choir concert coming up with motets by Schütz, so just to have something to play, played through the bass parts just now. It works so well! The loaner I had was impossibly unstable.
