#NixOS experimenting with my Atom 330 (4 threads 1.6Ghz 2Gb DDR2)
Currently hooked up to a 76Gb #WDraptor (just for the lovely sound)
I think most of the machine is timely accurate
around 2008, at least late 2000

#unbound is up
#pihole on a #nixcontainer

Only thing nagging me is i can't connect the container to the lan card as i would on the #illumos variants i tried
I had to configure a bridge

ram usage is around 400Mb

#trythisathome but also #ymmv. my config is perhaps not the most exotic, but does use the sfp-wan interface, contains a jool-based #ipv6mostly setup (thank you @Oskar456), wireguard, of course #unbound (+adblock) , chrony, and some other stuff.

My unbound servers are deployed. I can now remove the "ansible_host" variables from my inventory.

Mein #diday in diesem Monat ist ein wenig nerdi. Meine derzeitige Frage ist strategisch. Den PiHole #Container erweitern oder Unbound in einem eigenen Container aufsetzen? This guide walks you through running two separate Unbound DNS instances on the same Debian 12 server — one for the server itself, one for WireGuard clients.

With this setup you can have your private and free (see limited) NextDNS/Ad-Guard DNS bound only to your Wireguard interface (who said "phones"?) and you'll be able to connect to every LAN service using your numeric.tld domain
