Tested on #BashCoreGee: added uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, and enabled Strict Privacy + Quad9 DoH. Result? #PiHole is now silent! 🤐

uBlock stops threats at the source (Layer 7), so packets never even reach the gateway. This is Layered Defense: Pi-Gateway + VPN + Hardened Browser.

Gee keeps Firefox stock for user choice, but the tools to harden it are right there.

OS Purity vs. Browser Reality on #BashCoreGee 🛡️

My Pi-hole test confirms: while the #BashCore OS is dead silent at idle, opening stock #Firefox immediately triggers a flood of tracking requests.

As shown in the image, Google Analytics, DoubleClick, and Tag Manager are instantly blocked by my Pi-gateway. Gee gives you LibreWolf, Tor, and Mullvad for a reason. Don't let a "stock" browser ruin your OS privacy.

Ho appena cambiato il setup del mio homeserver. Sono passato dal caro buon vecchio Raspberry pi3B+ interamente dedicato a #homeassistant a un minipc con #proxmox .
Ora ho anche #wireguard e #pihole e mi avanza disco e memoria per qualche altra cosa.
Voi quali altre VM o LxC fate girare?

Tested BashCoreGee on a privacy box (Raspberry Pi + Pi-hole + Quad9 DNS).

After 20 minutes: zero blocked domains. Only harmless Debian/AppStream traffic observed.

Updated my #homelab to #k3s 1.35, deployed #vaultwarden, #pihole with #unbound and #forgejo with #woodpecker. All the web guis have #letsencryt certificates. Storage redundancy is achieved by #longhorn which maintains redundant copies of pvcs across the nodes. The nodes are vms controlled by #incus, so that I can shut down the whole k8s thingy with a simple incus stop command when I’m done playing.
k3s is really nice and easy to deploy and well documented, getting things to run in k8s though is mainly pasting yaml from the internet and hoping for the best.
