𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥 para Macintosh fue una de esas joyas de 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 que demostraron que programar también podía ser rápido, potente y elegante en la era clásica del Mac.

𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 presumía algo impresionante para la época: compilar 1,420 líneas de código en apenas 7.1 segundos.

Además, ofrecía un entorno integrado, uso de “Units”, manejo de ventanas y una experiencia que buscaba hacer el desarrollo mucho más ágil dentro del ecosistema Apple.

@phillo For those who would like to move to something more modern, #FreePascal / #Lazarus will happily compile a lot of #TurboPascal programs when you give it the right options. Most of my 14,000 line linear circuit analysis program required minimal mods.

I just released version 0.98 of PASTA/80, the 8-bit Turbo Pascal 3 clone that lets you party like it's 1986. ;) Now with conditional compilation, overlays for Agon, and an RTL reference. Thanks to @sijnstra for tirelessly sending patches and uncovering compiler bugs.

Heute Abend nochmal zum Abschluss meines Urlaubs eine ganz starke Retro Brise: #TurboPascal. Lang ist's her, dass ich damit mal unterwegs war. Im Bild sieht man ein Quellcode Teil von einem Programm, das ich gerade archiviere. Ich muss mal schauen, ob ich den Originalautor noch zu fassen bekomme. #learningpython is being quite fun! I was honestly considering to close the circle and go back to #turbopascal ,though. The community and the easiness of #python is intoxicating, to say the least.
