I had to meet with the shitty surgeon again for my 1 week post op assessment. God, I hate her. She came to work with the flu and was coughing. She asked me if she should wear a mask because she was coughing so much. I said yes and she puts on a loose surgeon mask. Then she literally coughed in my fucking open wound, like the one in my labia that had a wound separation issue. Thank god she wore the mask, but even her colleague who was observing winced because it was a productive cough and she caught second hand embarrassment.
She was also just rude. She cut off her colleague who tried to answer one of my questions twice and said she didn't have time to answer questions. I asked for how long my wound would take to heal given there was wound separation and she was like "I'm not a gynecologist so I don't know. Maybe 6 weeks?" And when her colleague who WAS A OBGYN tried to answer she cut her off and told her not to answer me.
This is the same surgeon who previously said she wouldn't have helped me have a simple meta 6 years ago but that now they have to help everyone. (She was not the surgeon who actually operated on me, thank god. My actual surgeon is just on night call right now so he couldn't see me).
My wound burns now. I flushed it as soon as I got home, but fuck her so much. If I get the flu, I will riot.

I redyed my favorite Kill Star strappy jeans, so they look like new, and then I sewed some fun patches on them, to make them look a bit more classic emo punk
TRANS MASCS & MEN: I want to start a “Buy a trans guy a pizza day” to parallel the “buy a trans girl a pizza day.” What date do you think would be a good date for that?
Similar to how the latter helps us celebrate Mira Bellwether, it would be lovely to pick a day that lets us celebrate a trans man or trans masc who has been important to the community, but is maybe underrecognized.

> While we are slowly seeing more accounts about the experiences of sex workers being shared, there are large gaps in the representation.
> Working Guys is a collection of essays, personal narratives and interviews about the lives of transmasculine sex workers, in our own words. Joyful, traumatic, or somewhere in between, this book preserves nuance and highlights a range of experiences. From selling sex under a female persona to taking advantage of the rise in popularity of trans men in porn, the pieces within provide a snapshot of moments in various transmasculine sex workers' lives.

🏳️⚧️ We're still pretty close to Trans Day of Visibility.
☂️ And it's “Sex Work Book Friday” or something [yes, I've made that up, but I intend to keep it going].
🌟 So, this book is a PERFECT match. 💖❤️🔥
Trans people don't get their voices heard often enough.
That usually goes double for trans men.
Sex workers have as much or worse troubles themselves.
So it readily raises the question… What happens with transmasculine sex workers..?
“Wait, is there such a thing.?!”
Oh, yes there is!
Unsurprisingly though, they're on the deep end of the “ignored” spectrum, as their mere existence tends to make EVERY take on sex work from EVERY side shake pretty badly…
So yeah, one doesn't heard much about them.
I'm not gonna spoil you the fun. ^~
The book is exactly what is says on the tin — and its value ought to be more than self-evident.
Plus, it's really just 5£ (.epub), and waaay better than any beer you might buy instead. ;P

Early Access: Transmasc apologies for #malePrivilege: do we need them?
There are limited studies on how #transmasculine people experience the harms of #sexist and #patriarchal views, but speak to any transmasc person, and they’ll be able to tell you how common those harms are. Anxiety or trauma from these experiences may be why some transmascs believe they can’t transition without becoming an oppressor.

On International Transgender Day of Visibility, Kansas should remember the accomplishments of Dr. Alan L. Hart, a doctor and author born in Halls Summit in the late 19th century. In 1917, he made history by becoming one of the first known trans men in the country to undergo gender affirming surgery.
