Long ago I use to make stuff wood turning. I decided to make myself a turned rope bed for camping at SCA events. Most of it is made out of reclaimed pallet wood and painted with home made milk paint stained with red & yellow ochre and the black is candle soot. Once that paint is on its never coming off. Eventually the bed was modified to be a chair. 2 more images in the comments. This is the back panel

Today's pottery experiment involved lasers.
The faint lined stars were at full power cut/half speed. Scored the very top of the thin clay but not enough to be able to weed the shape.
The more obvious star was full power/full speed. It fused the grog in the clay (diatomaceous earth) formed a glass like scar and the ability to weed the shape was impossible. It may have some possible use that warrents more experiments. Just not today.
