Comparison of Nepenthes ulukaliana on right, and ulukaliana x ramispina on left, both from @jeremiahsplants at different times. The hybrid has inherited the lid fuzz and a lot of the pitcher chunkiness of ulu, but the more cylindrical traps and, more notably, the much slimmer and darker purple flushed leaves give away the rami parentage. The two species grow alongside each other in many places in the wild so hybrids and introgression are common.

Pinguicula (rotundiflora x gracilis) x laueana, HC B flowering again. So far I think this is the only one that’s bloomed, so I still don’t know if this shade of purple is the norm or not.

The first flowers, and first pitchers, of Sarracenia outside this year (naturally, right before we expect temps in the low 20’s F tomorrow night so I have to pull the electric blanket out now to try and ward off frost…). No surprise it’s S. oreophila “North Sound” x purpurea “Giant No. 1” blooming first with those early season northern genes, but what I am surprised by is the number of younger plants that are already pitchering and even blooming.

If you’re like me and are always either too broke or too slow to take advantage of Nepenthes x kinabaluensis being made available…mira x villosa is a darn good substitute. This seed grown plant from @bramblesbotanicals (and I think grown out of @jeremiahsplants seeds) is a significantly fast plant as far as highlanders go, has great maroon-brick red coloration, and with every new pitcher it not only gets bigger, but the peristome gets broader and toothier. When it matures I expect it’ll make a pretty good imitation, if slightly smaller, of true x kinabaluensis

Two Nepenthes vogelii growing out, can’t wait to finally see uppers eventually.
Or I at least think the second is pure vogelii; it was purchased as vogelii x aristo from Predatory Plants but has no aristo in it, and they had a pure vogelii set at the time too so there was a switchup (similar thing unfortunately happened when they sent me a robcantleyi x truncata instead of rob x vogelii, and never heard back when asked about either one…).

First update checking things back home: I lost my Yucca do Pinguicula cyclosecta unfortunately but a new locality replacement was got recently…and it’s almost immediately bloomed and started dividing.
Of course I took advantage and crossed it, since the white gigantea, emarginata, and several hybrids are still flowering
