Ein bisschen hatte ich die Hoffnung, heute schon #MasterAndCommander in 4K zum #MeerfilmMittwoch 39/25 schauen zu können, aber anscheinend wurde er erst heute versendet. Also brauche ich jetzt einen Film, der mit ähnlich positiven Gefühlen besetzt ist und die gleiche Stimmung anspricht. Ihr hattet auch nicht auf dem Schirm, dass es schon wieder zwei Jahre her ist, dass ich #TheSeaBeast (USA 2022, R: Chris Williams) geschaut habe, oder? Noch immer keine BluRay in Sicht, aber immer noch großartig.

Efficient direction, fun monsters, cool pirates, all rendered in gorgeous CGI.
All of which feels a bit wasted on a highly derivative story and characters with unsatisfying arcs.

Schaue grade nochmal Netflix' #TheSeaBeast. Finde ihn noch immer absolut großartig. Die Welt, die Figuren, die Message, den Humor, die Musik, ... Will noch immer eine Version davon, die ich auch ohne Abo schauen kann. Größter Nachteil des Streamingzeitalters: die Abhängigkeit.
