Heute beginnt das #Weltwirtschaftsforum in Davos. Wie jedes Jahr kommen hier internationale Wirtschaftseliten, Ăberreiche und politische Spitzen zusammen, um hinter verschlossenen TĂŒren ĂŒber unsere Zukunft zu diskutieren.
Fakt ist: In den letzten fĂŒnf Jahren konnten Ăberreiche ihren Wohlstand verdoppeln, wĂ€hrend ĂŒber die HĂ€lfte der Weltbevölkerung real verarmt ist.
WĂ€hrend Konzernchefs in Davos ihre Machtpositionen kontinuierlich ausbauen, geraten immer mehr Menschen durch steigende Mieten und den Abbau sozialer Sicherheit unter Druck.
Wenn solche Treffen als Antwort oder die Klimakrise geframed werden, entsteht ein eindeutiger Widerspruch! âGrĂŒneâ Lösungen die vor allem fĂŒr die Wirtschaftseliten vorteilhaft sind, greifen zu kurz, um die strukturellen Ursachen der multiplen Krisen zu bekĂ€mpfen!

Davos, Switzerland - January 18, 2025 Climate justice activists disrupted access to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos with bold protests, including road blockades and dyeing local waterways green. Around 350 participants staged a peaceful sit-in on the main access road, halting traffic while highlighting what they called the forum's complicity in global crises. The Davos Lake and the Landwasser River were tinted green using biodegradable dye, a symbolic act to denounce WEFâs alleged greenwashing. Activists accused the forum of masking the environmental and social damage fueled by its participants. âThe civil resistance against this summit of injustice is long overdue,â said Alex Sattler. âThe WEF is where the wealthy and powerful profit from crises and exploitation, particularly at the expense of the Global South.â Protesters criticized the forum for being undemocratic and enabling neocolonial practices.
