The Allentown Planning Commission is considering a plan to transform a warehouse at 2401 Emaus Ave in Allentown into a hyperscale data center. Data centers create noise, pollute our environment, and use tremendous amounts of water and electricity. On Tuesday June 9th, the Allentown Planning Commission will be voting on the data center proposal. **Let's pack the room and show the Planning Commission that Allentown does not want a data center!**

Join us every Saturday at Pickering Barn/Costco as we raise our banner to protest the illegal actions of our increasingly authoritarian government and in support of our democracy. Stand alongside our banner or bring your own sign to wave. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Safety is always our utmost concern and we are always looking for more safety team members. If you are interested in finding out more about joining, email us at [email protected]

The Minnetonka Wednesday Weekly Protest has continued since the first week of May 2025 with no breaks, rain or shine. You can sign up in advance for the Wednesday of your choice to receive a detailed arrangements memo including answers to frequently asked questions. You are encouraged to invite your friends, neighbors, relatives, and co-workers to join us any Wednesday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm Central Daylight Time. Arrive when you are able; leave when when you need to. We gather on the public sidewalks and grassy banks along the road margins at the intersection of Minnesota State Highway 7 and County Road 101 in Minnetonka where we display our hand-made signs. The busy intersection features hundreds of drivers and dozens of pedestrians and bicyclists who are encouraged by our presence each week. We build up our own morale and turn the tide of public opinion in our community. We have consistently stood up in public for almost a year in all kinds of weather; this weekly event doesn't ever get cancelled. We will expand our coalition and keep going. Trump will be out of office before we stop protesting. All local protests organized by Indivisible MN03 are peaceful, legal, nonviolent, family-friendly exercises of first amendment rights in public places.

Also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, Juneteenth is one of two freedom celebrations held throughout the United States; the other is the Fourth of July. It originated in 1865 and is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. It was on June 19 of that year that Major General Gordon Granger and his troops landed at Galveston, Texas, where they announced – and enforced – President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, which had officially taken effect two and a half years earlier. The Minnesota DFL and local elected officials will be welcoming attendees to the Juneteenth festivities. Volunteers signing up for shifts from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm can help register residents to vote in the upcoming election, sign up new volunteers, hand out literature & merch, and candidates will be available to answer questions about the legislative session and plans for next year. Sign up today to volunteer at our joint DFL tent! Prepared and paid for by Senate District 59 DFL. ([sd59dfl.org](https://sd59dfl.org/))
