Make your Mountain Maryland Voices heard!! Meet us at the Oakland Town Parking at 9:45 AM before we march up together to the corners of Rt. 219 and Oak Street at 10:00 AM. Please bring signs and noise makers and be prepared to join in chants and songs. We We are asking that everyone be respectful with their language in chants, signs, and interactions with others. Also, there should be no engagement with counter-protesters other than a smile and “Have a Nice Day!” Safety is out paramount concern! This is a non-violent protest. Please bring a chair if you would like to sit, dress accordingly to the weather, and stay hydrated. After the protest, participants will be invited to a Drum Circle in town and an Overpass Protest later in the afternoon. Once again our community gathers with strong voices to push back on authoritarianism and say NO KINGS. **Resistance is 365** We encourage you to join COVA Coalition, local Indivisibles, and our ally groups on the days **BETWEEN rallies and protests** to engage in sustained national resistance to tyranny. Silence is not an option. We need 3 or 4 or more people on each side to wave at traffic passing on Brush Hill Ave, and on I-91 below. More than 3-4 people per side isn't strictly necessary, but it adds to the fun! ### How to Get There The address "330 Brush Hill Ave, West Springfield" should get you there. Please park on the side of the road before the bridge. We can't park on the bridge. ### Other Stuff Please take everything you brought away with you, and leave the site totally clean. If rain is predicted, we'll cancel. If we cancel, you'll receive an email notification. ### Have a spare roof rake? We've found that roof rake sections make wonderful flagpoles and banner poles. If you have a roof rake (or 10’-15’ light metal poles or conduit) to contribute, we'll be happy to take it off your hands!
