My favorite glasses broke. I have two back up pair left, plus a pair at work.
These did very well, as they’re readers (2s, up from 1.5s* for years) I bought at last Spring’s midtown Manhattan street fairs, about $8 each. I used to be able to find them w spring temples and nose bridge, now only spring temples.

Almost time for street fairs, so I’ll replenish for ‘26 ~

I didn't take pics of it but a lot of people went to the street fair after (and technically during) so

well done food trucks and booth people

Today was the last outdoor event I’ll be doing for the year. After this, it’s all indoor events until the weather gets better next year.

And wow was this one tough.

I’m not sure I’ll be doing this on in the future. It was weird from the beginning with no online application process, checks-only for application fees, and a lack of communication of acceptance and logistics until literally days before the event…

One vendor left halfway through setting up once she learned there were only two portable toilets for the entire five-block event.

But the day *really* soured around noon when 30+mph wind gusts started knocking over vendor displays. Many left early.

And I didn’t make a single sale for the last 2.5 hours. I was fortunate—my tent weights are massive. But I still had to hold it down most of the afternoon. None of our stuff went flying across the street like other vendors had to deal with.

It was a tough day. My body aches. I think I will sleep very hard tonight.

Tomorrow! Hoboken’s premier arts and music event returns to Washington Street. Nine blocks of arts and crafts and food and music, from Observer Highway to Seventh Street. I’ll be there with a redesigned booth and lots of affordable, original, handmade art. #art #artSky #streetfair #Hoboken

Tonight is the last night of the Friday Night Market series. After a summer of evening street fair events featuring local artists, makers, food, and music, the event is finally wrapping things up. Soon it will be colder, wetter, and the days will be shorter making outdoor venues like this impossible.

But today, the sun is out and the temperatures are a nice lower 60s—perfect for a nice stroll through booths of community artisans doing their thing they feel passionate about. Me included.

I hope to see you there.

I was at the Agricola Open Street fair here in #HalifaxNS this past weekend. Wanted to shoot but had no idea what I wanted to shoot until, at one point, I randomly thought of Henri Cartier-Bresson, slapped the 50mm lens onto my #Nikon #D850 and started firing. Feelin’ real good about these.
