Despite a lot of driving around doing errands, today life mirrored hobby, calm and quiet.

#Hobby side of things. Drybrushed, and some first coats down on the militia and archers that were primed. Good bit to do here, but nice meditative session at the painting desk to compliment a very meditative day.

Life wise. Things peaked with a walk down the beach with everyone.

In a very nice bubble at the moment.

A wee break from painting some Montrose Irish for my #ECW army. Where do I go? Of course of to paint a #Mordheim mini who’ll double up as Shiphands for my #Stirland river patrol for #WFH.

Small chance to try something new (I’ve never actually tried the Zenithal method).

I say it a lot.. I always wander back to Mordheim. I love these miniatures, the setting, and rules. It just ticks everything for me.

#Stirland River Patrol is another step closer to finishing. In that weird phase of the painting process where I’m not happy with them at all 😂 If I can get the highlights done over the next couple of days and get them based hopefully that passes. More importantly, I can look at getting the next batch of them on the go.

Nipped into #gamesworkshop in #edinburgh (Lovely team!) and picked up some greens to highlight that Dark Angel Green contrast. Really happy with the finished model. Now, onto the 9 others. Really like using the cutlasses for the #Stirland River Patrol, just feels like a barge boarding party. All that’s left is basing, do I break with brown bases and go for a goblin green inspired base.. questions, questions..

FINALLY, SOME #PAINTING! The test model for for my #Stirland River Patrol. Tidy ups done, a drybrush of Grey Seer on the metals, followed by a Nuln Oil wash. Still to do is another drybrush of the metals, and a bit of highlighting the green.
