ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan unveiled an ambitious 10-year space program for his country Tuesday that includes missions to the moon, sending Turkish astronauts into space and developing internationally viable satellite systems.
My dad was a janitor at the Martin plant in Denver. He used to tell me great stories about his role is the design, testing, and manufacture of critical parts of this missile.
I followed his great footsteps and today, proudly work in the custodial department in Hawthorne for #SpaceX doing the same critical part in the space program that my father did.
I hope my son (or daughter) caries on our family's legacy in the #SpaceProgram. (e f)

Nadpis tohoto článku může na první pohled působit přehnaně, ale bohužel není vůbec daleko od pravdy. 2. května představený návrh rozpočtu NASA na následující fiskální rok navrhuje zrušení celé řady vědecky i technicky významných projektů, protože počítá se snížením rozpočtu agentury o skoro jednu čtvrtinu. V minulých týdnech občas na veřejnost prosákly střípky informací o tom, že NASA čekají krušné časy. Nyní se tyto vize zhmotnily v ještě děsivější formě, než se původně zdálo. V případě schválení návrhu by zrušení čekalo raketu SLS a loď Orion (po misi Artemis III), stanici Gateway i program Mars Sample Return. Za sebe mohu říct, jen to, že nezbývá než věřit, že Kongres zachrání alespoň něco. Následující odstavce tohoto článku jsou již překladem článku, který k tématu vydala agentura NASA na svém webu.
