In @moshidon, Ben's post with the link to About Time displays like a Quote Post. Under the bandwagon.fm link is a preview card with a play button. When I click it the song plays. Fine and dandy.

But what really got me hopping is that it *kept playing* as I moved around in the app, writing this reply! Navigating away from the post didn't cut off the playback.

This is great UX. I presume @mirlo devs are aiming to do the same?

Reflecting again on how to describe the #SocialMusic network to someone with no background in social web tech, I was thinking it's like an online festival. The different music-hosting services are like stages, except you choose your own performance schedule. You can go to any stage, at any time, and see any of the bands performing there. All under 1 ticket; any AP account, or a VIP ticket, a fan account on one of the music services themselves, with their music-specific interfaces.

Hey @kidlightbulbs, got another feature idea for unstream.stream.

Some of my friends send me music recommendations by just sending me a link to Spitify or YouTub, or occasionally Tidal Sometimes without even bothering to include any artist name or title.

It would be great to to be able to paste those links into Unstream and get search results as if I'd entered the name of the artist linked. Bonus points for the right album, double for the right track: )

One thing that's always bothered me about the BandCamp interface is that there's no visual indication of which records are singles and which are multitrack recordings. I presume this is a Dark Pattern, intended to make people spend more time browsing the platform.

Side note: people have tried to rebrand these as 'Deceptive Patterns', but that's only one Dark Pattern type, and I like the subtle reference to the dark side of the force ; )
