welp, seems the crews gave up on clearing our sliver of 16th street. i can see the buildings closest to us but that’s it. snow has swallowed up the Empire State building.
#manhattan has a microclimate several degrees hotter than the rest of #nyc and nyc as a whole tends to be hotter than the continent or the rest of Long Island. if i can't see the ESB, can’t even imagine how is it for the rest of y’all across the river.

NibsyAfter three days of constant, heavy snow, we've now received more snow in one event than in any other all winter . . . except it's spring.
The good news is that all that additional moisture will help offset what's predicted to be the worst wildfire season on record. The bad news (besides having to shovel more snow) is that it's not nearly enough.
We're now bracing for an "extended snow event," a Colorado Low, bringing some 30-40 cm of snow. The extra moisture is welcomed news around here to offset what experts are predicting to be one of the worst wildfire seasons on record.
