Zittend op de bank hoor ik geluid, 1e instantie onbekend, opkijkend zie ik totaal onverwacht 'n vogeltje i.d. hoek van 't raam zitten dat opeens langs 't raam gaat fladderen. Herken nu 't geluid maar normaal hoor ik dat niet?
Dan pas dringt door dat 't binnen zit 😲 áls 't buiten had gezeten had ik het staartje niet kunnen zien 🫣🪶! Omdát ie binnen zat met de rug naar me toe had ik 't staartje moeten zien; mijn oog voor detail! 😅
Met theedoek opgepakt - ben geen handvanger - , in m'n hand voelde ik het hartje kloppen 💙

Dacht vanwege grijs petje aan koolmeesje dus met waarneming.nl geverifieerd, tot 3 x toe uitslag pimpelmees! m'n lievelings vogeltje 🐦❤️
Ook kort video opgenomen waarin te zien dat aan andere kant van het raam papa of mama pimpelmees zit, beide zien elkaar maar kunnen niet bíj elkaar dus dáárom werd Piepje onrustig, probeerde fladderend bij familie te komen?!

Heard a noise I didn't immediately recognised, looking up saw small bird near window, when it started flying it became clear it was In-side not Out-side. Took it up with a cloth, thought of Great tot because of grey head
So small, tiny beak, tiny head, little paws and peep🎶
Took photo with Dutch website from Obsidentify International, 3x same results: blue tit, my fave little bird🐦❤️
Wanting to see its tiny paws it broke loose 💪🏼, I had to catch it again, we had our intimate moment, set it free
Made a few moments video in which is to be seen that on the outside of window sat its dad/mum, they could see eachother but not be together, that's why little tit got restless 🐦💙

Tomtit balancing twigs, break and curiosity
The Ngirungiru, or Tomtit, is a very small passerine bird in the Robins-family Petroicidae.
With a maximum length of 12 cm and a weight of 11 gram, it is basically the size of two Ping-Pong balls with wings and tail.

Frenetic enthusiastic
It is also very curious and enthusiastic. Meaning that when it decides you are not a threat when you meet one up close in the forest, it will follow you along for some time. But in a frenetic pattern, jumping between the trees, branches, trail and back up again.

And then maybe, maybe, just be still for a couple of seconds where you get a reasonable shot. Like this one in the forest at Rakiura, Aotearoa.

There are five subspecies of Tomtits, and they have different names in Māori. The South Island and Rakiura Stewart Island variant is called Ngirungiru. The North Island is called Miromiro. And as a loveable little fellow, there are several other Māori and English name for it. Tomtit is an adaptable feather ball, and lives well with most of the changes made to the biodiversity of New Zealand.
