A creamy glaze cascades over this ceramic bowl, pooling in the carved grooves of an ancient pine’s gnarled trunk. The tree’s resilience, paired with the altered poem, suggests a meditation on protection and impermanence—why does the crane’s shelter feel both fragile and enduring?

I just love when experimentation works out. Azabache black clay by Laguna Clay feels amazing in my hands to work with but glazes tend to react to it more unpredictably. So it's a lovely surprise when it all comes together beautifully.
