A lovely view from Alva Glen, once the short climb out of the gorge is complete. Although it was a hazy day you can see all the way to the winding #forth in the distance beyond the plains and Alloa.

Alva Glen
The Alva Glen is a steep-sided cleft scored in the southern front of the Ochils range. This short walk up it follows a dramatic path, easy at first, which climbs up into this ravine. The upper part involves a steep ascent with precipitous slopes and ends at a viewpoint overlooking the Smuggler's Cave in the floor of the gorge.

An amazing sight today as an eagle landed on a tree near the forest track just ahead of us and was harassed by the local corvid population. It stood its ground (well, branch).
As usual, dog lead in one hand, phone in the other so, you know....not the best photo... You'll have to use your imagination to fill in the rest ð
