What a change a day makes - ice on the paths, but snow is largely melted or eased away in the rain. #Clackmannanshire #ochils
A bit late for the post something every day, but a walk on Saturday had photos … none of the beavers we went looking for, although plenty of gnawed trees. Also, a good view of Dumyat at sunset. #sunset #scotland #ochils
the hills threw off their misty shroud yesterday.
(completely different dreadful, dreich soggy saga today, though. gross.)

A view down to Castle Campbell from Bank Hill. The hill in the far distance at the top-left is West Lomond.

Castle Campbell sits at the top of Dollar Glen, which has some impressive waterfalls and woodland walks.

A view looking up Mill Glen in the Ochils. The peak on the right is The Law, and the bealach in the centre leads from this summit to Ben Cleuch, which lies hidden behind the unnamed peak on the left.

This is one of my favourite views in the Ochils, as the colours at different times of the year are always so rewarding.

Shot from near the top of King's Seat today in the Ochils. I liked the contrast of the slope shapes, helped by the various colours of the grasses and heathers. The summit at the top-left is The Law.

A better view of the large stone. It must weigh a couple of tons at least.

The two stone cairns on top of King's Seat Hill in the Ochils, taken around midday yesterday. I always wonder who builds these structures. The enormous stone near the middle right is surely far more than a two-man lift…?

A view down The Cloves of Alva Glen, shot this morning. If you look closely in the distance on the top left, the two Forth crossings of Kincardine and Clackmannanshire Bridges can be seen.
