Back then, there was typically one widely-adopted version of Java that would remain stable for years. You didn’t need to think much about version management because there wasn’t much to manage. So i've installed #CachyOS on my main PC and must say that it feels really great. After over a decade on #Ubuntu and/or #Debian based distros, #Arch does feel mightily different, but the rolling release makes it feel up to date.

I did have to switch back to #Bash from the #Fish shell, as it is really hardwired in my brain, and #SDKMan just doesn't work as it seems to consist of only Bash functions.Why isn't it a script or a binary which makes it shell agnostic?
