First #ParkRun of the year done. Time wasn't great but I was struggling a bit with heart towards the end of last year so am grateful to have got round. Over a thousand runners today. And I made a friend - old South African chap doing his first UK run - former rugby coach and referee and I SMASHED HIM (I barely came in front of him and he was about 50 years older than me). As always, I feel great. My mind is clear, I feel hopeful, positive and cheerful. I'm looking forward to the day. I've reconnected with my wife in a meaningful way and generally am the best version of myself. Whyyyyyyy does it have to be running that does this?!?!?! Why can't it be sausages or watching television?.....

I love the idea of traveling the length of the #ErieCanal trail but I want an option to do it on foot. Yeah, it would be really hard but it would also be really worth it. 10 days as opposed to 8. It would be fabulous. #WeCanDoHardThings #RunNY
