For reference, here's a collection of my entire ABSS series. 26 projects, mostly games.
We cover a lot of genres here within the tabletop space.

The point of the #AlphabetSuperset series is to produce for yourself a coherent body of work. Enough material on the same themes and in the same medium to develop some level of expertise, and to be able to really show it off.

Looking back I'm amazed at how much I've made over this past year and change, after years of producing very little. Mission accomplished I guess.

I've finally reached the end of the project, and we close out with Zero Minutes To Midnight, a solo journalling micro-rpg experience about a representation of *you* trying to navigate every endgame scenario at once.

This is a two part experience, as the second half is 90 Seconds to Midnight, a ultra-light threat modelling game about ensuring you never have to experience Zero Minutes to Midnight, by taking action in the real world to stop the actual apocalypse. "Oops, All Climate Crisis" strikes again bebe, this is actually about choosing to get involved in direct action and preparedness!

Focus your energies. Stop the Bad Futures.

Final project in my #AlphabetSuperset series. The loop is finally closed.

PWYW as with everything in this series.

Turns out I was able to do the production on this one super quickly. It's another single pager, a dive into absurd bureaucracy as you alternate between border control Guard and Civilian trying to prove their acceptability to cross, constantly escalating the level of complexity of the questioning and documentation required to progress, but gradually enough that it's technically still possible to succeed.

If you never let *anyone* in how would liberals argue that the system is tough but fair?

It's sort of a Calvinball approach to border control, which is in many ways how border control already works.

This closes out Y, so now there's only one official game left to complete the series. It's finally happening.

Made for the #AlphabetSuperset project, and PWYW as with the rest.

One more to go.

Still making games, still working through them!

Year Zero is a freeform meditative creative exercise of a game, in which you seek answers within The Void, and look to free yourself of the shackles of your existing understanding and preconceptions. If we had the answers already, surely things wouldn't be in such a state, right? No, we must seek something completely new.

There's very minimal direction and how you interpret it is up to you, there aren't even explicit instructions on how to play, or whatever it is you are expected to do here. Just ideas and potentials. There are no expectations. The Void persists whether you engage with it or not.

This is a short single pager as I'm doing a double-mini feature due to the production problems with everything else I'd tried to build for this one. Next game will probably come next week, and be another Y word. Then we just have the final game to go.

PWYW as with all else in this project.

Exogenesis is the *counts* 23rd game I've made for the Alphabet Superset series "Surviving The Future." It's a micro-rpg with no GM, in which you and up to 5 others play the crew of a mission to establish habitation on Mars- a mission which is doomed to end in tragedy.

You will discover how, what the crew go through as they try to make things work, and some of what it feels like to disappoint everyone in the whole world.

Work together, kill each other, reflect on your actions, deflect blame, struggle to hold it together, and eventually accept your fate in a game with no win conditions.

...

Also includes a 650 word flash fiction vignette of questionable quality as supplementary material, because the depth of prompts and instructions restricted how much room there was for lore drops and imagery in the main doc.

Probably a bit of a downer, but try and enjoy it anyway. That's life I guess!

PWYW as with all of them. 2 more to go!

Hello I have done it again and made a new gam.

This one is called Waiting For God, and isn't even really a game, it's a self-directed callout.

It is about waiting. About inaction. About procrastination, and deferral. And maybe, about not.

https://lucretia-rage.itch.io/waiting-for-god

Because this one is so minimal I spent about 10x the amount of time I spent working on the game making a supplementary 8 page zine expanding the lore of the shared setting a bit. I'll link that in another post, it's based on the same theme.

Logging back on for a bit cus I finished writing the article about my #AlphabetSuperset game Gold Goo Scenario, alongside the theming and real-world influences.

Trying to catch up on these. Trying to catch up on a lot of things tbh.

Everything happens so much.

Hello I finished making a game this evening, so we're finally back to releasing stuff for #AlphabetSuperset

This one is Verminal Integration. It's a competitive property control and economy management board game, in which corporations compete to own the entire supply chain, while under seige from an endless plague of horrible creatures (the production of which they also wish to control).

https://lucretia-rage.itch.io/verminal-integration

Part of why this took so long is that I originally started making a different game for V, under the theme of "Violence", which was about performative mass violence and the attention economy. When it came to implementing that it turned out I didn't want to make something as nihilistic as what I was building, the theming just felt really distasteful. So we made something entirely different instead, which is less edgy and more the sort of absurd horror that tends to work for me.

Anyway, here it is! PWYW as usual.

Only four more of these to go. I know roughly what they all are, so I'm really hoping we've pushed past the summer inertia and can get this thing finished by the end of the season.

Slightly late due to illness, but here is last week's game! Under Ground is a relatively straightforward sequence matching card game in which you have only limited time and resources to use finding the cards you need to complete the next sequence.

Also it's sort of about building an underground bunker. The framing device is doing a lot of lifting here. But the simplicity of the game meant I got to fill the rest of the document with lore material! Creative writing, yayy!

Still no idea what week we're meant to be on, but it's another #AlphabetSuperset project, so PWYW etc.
