There once was Dutchman called Klohs
Who ran the Amsterdam 10K in clogs.
He was dressed as a crow,
Which just goes to show,
He was mad as a box of frogs.

I'm abandoning trail running for the next 15 weeks, and placing my soul in the evil yet capable hands of Pete Pfitzinger. I have three more weeks of 50K recovery, then Pfitz's 12/70 5K plan.

My last 5K in November was a 20:42, and I'd love to go sub 20 for the first time since high school. I'm not getting any younger, so it's now or never. 🙏

Today I took the flompa-dompa’s for an outing. 1 hour and 36 minutes of ‘flump, flump, flump' but completed the first road running event for 2024.
Conditions were horrible. Sensations were terrible and mindset somewhere in-between. Got it done though and having never run a half for myself before I have a marker. Pretty sure with some motivation I could break 90 minutes.

Today's long-run was supported by the services of NMBS: I took the first train to Diksmuide and ran back home.
