Every day I went to the newsstand to see if the new issue of CU Amiga, Amiga Format or some other Italian magazine like Enigma had come out, how nice it was to browse through those magazines 💖   

Am I being nostalgic or were things better in the IT and home computing fields?

Just the day before Christmas the new special issue of the german Return magazine arrived, massive 218 pages of C64 glory.

The Return magazine is one of two german retro magazines I read from time to time. The other one is the german Retro Gamer, which has been discontinued by its publisher this summer but could be saved by some german gaming mag veterans and will be continued next February.
