Le Grèbe jougris, aussi appelé Red-necked Grebe en anglais, est un oiseau aquatique de taille moyenne. En été, son plumage prend des teintes chaudes : joues argentées, cou brun-roux, et calotte noire qui descend sous les yeux. En hiver, il adopte un look plus sobre.

Family Portrait

A family of Red-Necked Grebes gliding around their marshy summer home. I don’t think I’ve seen a more adorable family dynamic than with these grebes. The way the male and the females greet each other with open beaks whenever they see each other. The little ones joining in everything the adults do. It’s just the best.
