I got curious and decided to check #RaspberryBye .social again, and they posted an aircraft tracker (vaguely mentioning @elonjet) and "plans" for the Pi 5 which included a flux capacitor and spy gear.
It seems that instead of apologizing for being so cruel, they're tripling down on it like it's just a joke.
Don't buy RPi products anymore. They don't want your business.

I've dusted off a #Teensy 4.1 and started playing with it tonight. I'm not a fan of the Arduino IDE, but thanks to arduino-cli I've now got the Teensyduino core and a test program compiled all from the same Makefile, and even better: with teensy_loader_cli, I can flash and run the new program onto the Teensy without having to press any buttons.

It would be nice to say #RaspberryBye to my Pico in my hardware project and replace it with the Teensy!

Politics aside, the biggest challenge to #RaspberryBye is superior software support, which #RaspberryPi have always excelled at. The best I know is #Armbian (link below) but beware of hidden details, such as closed or non-accelerated GPU drivers. It might be difficult to get #Kodi #LibreElec or #RetroPie #RetroArch working on some of these boards. You might need to forget x265 or 4K video in hardware. I suspect the genuine Pi is currently unbeatable in these areas. https://www.armbian.com/download/

I also have a #RaspberryBye (though admittedly ended up never really using it) but even I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about #CopberryPi from the beginning because of their hardware being proprietary.

I think if I ever buy another mini-computer in the future it will be an open-source-hardware-product like f.e. something from #BananaPi (https://www.banana-pi.org/).

Or perhaps something from #Pine64 (https://www.pine64.org/), the creators of the #PinePhone.

The heart of this problem is that we now know that RPi loves spy cops who use their kit, something we didn’t previously know because they hadn’t previously bragged that they do.

They love them so much they want to brag about it and are surprised that others might not love them so much that them announcing a spy cop hire would have repercussions.

Marketing is an intentional action that tells us about an org. This was marketing.
