Why do some #PsychoactiveSubstances get demonized and others not? Why does consumption of some #drugs get #stigma and others get associated with fun, #family, #masculinity, or the holidays (just to pick a few at random)?

Meanwhile, #psychedelics have been lumped into a body of #PsychoactiveSubstances, often called #narcotics (though this is blatantly scientifically inaccurate) to convince the world that, if it isn't #alcohol, it will probably kill you!

Now, the point is not to claim that psychedelics or any other psychoactive is harmless, far from! #Drinking, for instance, lowers life-expectancy, and increases risks of fatal accidents and domestic abuse ... but these outcomes, as well, are not guaranteed.
