ok #coffee and #caffeine in general has some very inconsistent effects on me as most days I don't experience that strong an energy boost. only very occasionally does it give me actual anxiety, despite me currently drinking it every morning. however I don't really want to drink coffee or rely on caffeine for an energy boost but my parents don't want to move on to other better alternatives like matcha or chai tea or better yet cut caffeine entirely. I'm currently trying a cheap variant of Korean red ginseng in the form of a tablet but the effects for me seem to be a bit marginal compared to caffeine, though it does make a diff when combined with caffeine.
however I have varying degrees of anxiety regardless whether I drink coffee or take caffeine or not. my last panic attack was 4 years ago and I was definitely not relying on coffee or any other form of caffeine then.
(I don't consider mentioning mental health issues very briefly to be worthy of a CW unless I explain them in a detailed manner because I believe we should be able to talk about it without having to censor ourselves although I recognize that some people can be triggered by even brief mentions of it, so you can just filter/hide the post if you don't feel comfortable by the brief mention)
