Yesterday I did an internet search for "arcade platform game change character in phonebooth".

The 3rd result was a reddit thread entitled "An old arcade platformer in which you could go into phone booths to change into different characters".

I felt a little moment of joy in that someone else had the same nostalgia quest as I.

(The game was Psychic 5, and I remember playing it as a kid at the corner store in Wagga near my grandparents house, but have never known the name)

#Mame game of the day is #Psychic5 a action #platformer for the arcade. Originally it was released in 1987. Though there is a remaster coming to the switch this year though inam unsure if it will be released in the west.

The most obvious thing that makes this stand out is the height of the jump. You kind of hover making the protagonist feel like they are flying. The characters have to be managed as a group if I remember correctly. Having diffrent stats and uses. A favorite from my childhood.
