Batocera – The Retro Arcade OS

I have a mini-PC that my workplace isn't using so I grabbed it and brought it home. With this home labbing I have been getting into I thought about having a retro video game box. The other thing that sucked up some time this evening was messing around with Mame to emulate those old stand-up, coin-op games I used to play way back when.

Defender! Stargate! Scramble! Sky Shark! Galaga! Moon Cresta! Phoenix! Missile Command! Space Invaders!

(Yes - I have a type - ha)

So much fun and they all work and look like the original. It's really kind of amazing in a way.

My son had an extra ps5 controller lying around and that paired over Bluetooth to my Linux laptop with zero issues. That was really cool too.

Dunno why I never tried Mame till now.

Sono usciti in contemporanea i due core #MiSTer che aspettavo da anni! Mat Mania (Exciting Hour) e Fantasy , il secondo ha un audio terribile ma meglio di niente (sembrerebbero fatti con Claude) , il terzo è Ginga NinkyouDen, lo giocavo solo io in un arcade di periferia, capolavoro non capito anche perché nemmeno tradotto in inglese , considerando l’HW perdo le speranze in partenza e lo gioco su #mame
