I promised my first quarterly AI review, and here it is. Covering Q1 2026: where I'm relying on AI more than I'd like, what the latest research says about cognitive risk, and whether I stayed on the right side of my red lines. Honest self-assessment of five review questions I run each quarter.

My AI Quarterly Review: Q1 2026 Honest Assessment - The Computer & Technology Network

My first AI quarterly review is here. I look at where I'm relying on AI, what's changed in Q1 2026, and whether I'm still on the right side of my red lines.

Tip of the day: Documents in #DEVONthink are often linked or related to each other in some way, forming a network of information. To visualize these connections, #DEVONthink 4 offers a Graph view. Here is a brief introduction. #documentlinking #pkm #productivity #tipoftheday #zettelkasten https://www.devontechnologies.com/blog/20260210-graph-view-devonthink

Heute ist wieder #openspace Niedersachsen:
13. April 2026 (14:00 - 15:15)

When an employer was shutting down, one of the things going away forever was an actually helpful internal wiki. Picked a favorite to rescue, copied and pasted it into my notes. Promised myself I'd properly process and make it my own later.

Only took me three and a half years to mark that one done.

Wish I'd thought to rescue some of my *own* wiki contributions.

Anyways, been having fun this evening.

Bookmarking Boatmurdered in Capacities and nowadays you can select from prepopulated lists (which you can edit of course) for category and topic

Very important to file these things correctly.

I mean. You'll learn stuff, that's for sure.

(also this is why I don't want to chat with my notes: my notes get uh "quirky")

Translation work on the Fern TUI interface is coming along. Hitting a lot of snags with the different ways languages structure grammar, sentences and words (some don't have a plural, gendered languages, etc).

Will probably need to back up a little and rework things, so it's much simpler in order to improve UI translation accuracy...with the tradeoff likely being more work for translators to setup and maintain.

PS. If anyone knows of good examples of UI translations another project is doing I would love to check them out for inspiration. Thanks! Gracias! ありがとう!

Here's what KOMPAS actually does: When you mark something as done, it records the date. After two or more completions, it calculates the average interval between them — your natural rhythm.
Clean the bathroom every 9 days? Not because a schedule says so. Because that's what you actually do.
The next time it's due, it shows up. Not before. No backlog of guilt.

Tip of the day: Many people store bookmarks in a #DEVONthink database. Often these have the generic bookmark icon which makes it more difficult to visually identify the site they’re from. However, with a little automation, you can use the site’s favicon. Here is how. #automation #capture #pkm #productivity #tipoftheday https://www.devontechnologies.com/blog/20260113-bookmarks-favicons-devonthink
Your to-do list doesn't fail because you lack discipline. It fails because it doesn't know you.
KOMPAS is an Obsidian system I'm building that learns from how you actually behave — tracking intervals between actions, surfacing tasks when they're due based on your own patterns. No rigid schedules. No guilt. A compass, not a whip.
Still early. Looking to connect with others rethinking self-management beyond "just get it together."

Sehr cool. Danke.
