I've been willing to send a few bucks to Tarn Adams for a while now.
The graphical version of Dwarf Fortress that got released 3 years ago seemed like a good occasion to do just that, but being a stubborn asshole, I still refused to use steam.
So go and vote for it to finally get on GOG so I can shut up and spend my money:
I really hate the title "prompt engineer" but it came to mind today as I was refining my #DwarfFortress #ollama prompt to get good story summaries after large battles.
It should be noted that a 9700+ line gamelog file is probably too much to ask it to reason through.
Brilliant idea, or terrible idea: play a game of Dwarf Fortress. Turn the map into a megadungeon for my Nimble game.
A thousand years later after it’s been transformed for another purpose.

For entertainment's sake, I decided to pipe my gamelog. through a local #ollama instance and asked it to tell me a summary.
I was not prepared for the restrictions on gore, lol.
#Qwen: "I need to be careful not to make it *too* graphic while reserving the narrative weight. I can summarize the *injuries* without necessarily repeating the most visceral gore words unnecessarily, or I can tone it down slightly while keeping the dramatic essence."
In #DwarfFortress, we made fairly short work of a minotaur on Friday. But maybe we can make it shorter?
The real question is, should I start #streaming this game I've been playing for a decade or more, or just post some quick video clips of favourite moments?
Quick clip of forgotten beast getting owned by dwarves, no voice-over:
