🎓 Congrats to Lucas Carnier Casaroli on defending his #PhD! 🎉

📘His work on Tropical Instability Vortices (TIVs) shows how these underexplored features affect carbon (DIC) and oxygen (O₂) variability in the tropical Pacific, particularly across different #ENSO phases. Using high-res #ICON coupled simulations, he highlights why resolving these mesoscale dynamics is key for accuratly representing carbon and oxygen distributions.
