Ahora a ver si recordamos a qué habíamos venido...

"May pride lead you to peace."

It's important to remember how societies can be hard even on their ruling classes. This can be true even for damaya females, and shows how some families may pressure their daughters, after they finish militia service, to select a First Man and hold a bridetide in the interest of having a child.

Lady Vaeol's friend Captain Veiemi was allowed to stay evermaiden as an outrider. Her wifemate Treshoess, however, had undergone a bridetide before she rejected the lashunta cis-lifestyle. Similarly, Lady Eneae had a child and took advantage of her psychic birthmight to get elected to Qabarat's Matronhood. When she ran for reelection, however, she declared herself and evermaiden-supporter, and furthermore of cross-clade male damaya and female korasha. Although she won reelection, she has gotten much ridicule, including the of-repeated comment that she can't go back to evermaidenhood after her bridetide.

There is often a dianic romance to portrayals of women within their own company, especially when implying their freedom from male power. Does the same hold true for lashunta females ruling themselves under the Damaya Matriarchy?

Based on an informal survey of my recurring cast of characters in each chapter of _A Castrovel Adventure_, I've confirmed the majority portrayed are damaya females. Although Lady Vaeol my narrator has significant relationships with korasha and males, by sheer occurrences they are the minority. And then the minority ~Rahyathalma~ - male damaya and female korasha - drop off even more from there. It appears I have successfully portrayed the gender-clade bias inherent in my homebrew.
