Good morning from #PageSlowStreet!
#3goodthings #ThreeGoodThings
1) Practiced the 1st 1/3 of my 2nd degree black belt #Aikido test with my test partner today. The basics went okay, & now I think I know what technique reversals to demonstrate.
2) Gorgeous day, enjoyed a block-wide #GarageSale on the #PageSlowStreet #SlowStreet in #LowerHaight. Kiddo & spouse found pants, & kiddo found a necklace she likes.
3) Completed my enormous #SF #California #ballot! Will mail my #vote this week! Still weeks to go, but feels lighter!
At the #PageSlowStreet community parklet opening and block party. This parklet has built in seating, a fairy garden, and both kids’ and grownups’ free libraries. There’s also a spooky labyrinth, food and live music. What more can you ask for? #PhoenixDay #SlowStreets
The #PageSlowStreet parklet officially opens this Sunday for #PhoenixDay, with ceremonies from 12noon-5pm. I'm going to try to make part of it (also volunteering that day in the Excelsior for #SundayStreetsSF).
@LukeBornheimer @43masonic @twinpeaks_sf @caseyhildreth thanks for your advocacy on this, Luke. 100% agree it shouldn’t be this difficult. We will continue pushing for improvements to #PageSlowStreet to make it safe for pedestrians, cyclists, neighbors. That means diverters, signage, art on the street, physical infrastructure, etc. This is an amazing slow street and we will continue the work to make it better.

There was also a spiderman (?) but somehow that photo didn't save

S.F.’s most popular Slow Streets have one thing in common: self-appointed ‘mayors’

They oversee the streets in the popular city program, organizing events, cleaning up...
