#SFMTA installed these absolutely fucking useless speed bumps on Diamond this week.

I’m not angry.

I am disappointed *and* angry.

#SFMTA, #SFDPW: yes we need bike racks. We also need to locate them so they don't interfere with the ramps needed for wheelchair boarding (or, for that matter, in the path of embarking/disembarking passengers of all mobility levels)

Can we keep the necessary bike infrastructure out of the bus stop area?

This is a new one, dude just pulled a full size recycling bin onto the muni bus #sfmta

I support the speed cameras - AND I wish #SFMTA would start reporting more complete statistics than "average speed" - because it's not the average that's the problem - its the frequency and speed at the tail end of the distribution. The average driver, going close to the speed limit, is not the high risk. It's the small percentage of drivers who drive much faster, the small percentage of drivers whose driving genuinely is dangerous, that pose the problem. And the "average" tells us nothing about that.

And if we don;t understand that, we won't understand the real impact of safety.

SFMTA data: Drivers a lot slower around cameras

Pedestrian-safety advocates say “encouraging” findings should prompt more action.

Muni tests cleaning crews, ambassadors on 14-Mission route to improve rider experience

Muni riders on the 14-Mission could soon start seeing cleaner buses during their rides, or at least see a crew boarding to clean up a possible messy situation during revenue service. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) announced a two-week pilot program that will run through Oct. 9, which includes having staff ride the […]

Lurie: $750M state loan to save Bay Area transit, nixed by Newsom, is back in play

Mayor Lurie announced at a rally that the transit funding loan pledged by the state and subsequently curtailed is, once again, in play.

Mission Local

Would that #SFMTA, #MayorLurie and the #SFBOS paid attention to information like this and moved to develop an integrated plan.

What we have is BOS Resolution ( and I appreciate the efforts of #SupervisorMelgar to get it passed) - but I fear the Mayor and SFMTA management don't really get it.
